On Tondi Street stands the former manor house of Sprinckthal’s summer estate. While the building, which is recognized as a cultural monument, dates back to the 18th century, a manor house existed on this site as early as the 17th century. From the original estate complex, named after a nearby water-rich spring, the stable building has also been preserved, while the former servants’ house has been demolished. The renovation of the manor took place in 2009, during which ceiling paintings were restored, and windows, a spiral staircase, and the color scheme were recreated according to historical drawings. A distinctive feature of the building is its large chimney. Today, the summer manor is home to the Hispaania Maja (Spanish House) – as its residents say, it is simultaneously a language school, a bookstore, an importer of Spanish flavors, a promoter of wine culture, a training center, and simply a meeting place for good friends.
