Tallinn’s tallest building and one of the most luxurious hotels, Swissotel, was completed in 2007. The complex was designed by architect Meeli Truu, and the hotel’s interior design was done by Meelis Press’s architectural firm. The complex consists of two high-rise buildings that could be considered skyscrapers even on a global scale—both the hotel tower (117m) and the Tornimäe 7 apartment building (116.5m) exceed the 100-meter mark. One of the tallest hotels in the Baltic region, it features 238 guest rooms, three restaurants, two bars, a spa, a fitness center, and a conference center. The apartment building contains 181 apartments spread across 30 floors, which the developer envisioned as either guest apartments or rental units. The 5-story connecting volume houses the Tornimäe Business Center with numerous office spaces.
