What does a people-friendly urban space mean to You? How can we contribute to its creation?
When designing urban space, we must consider that all of us have different needs and desires. Urban space should be comfortable, safe, friendly, and caring. Everyone can contribute by taking care of their surroundings. It all starts with us.
What is an interesting fact about Your product that many may not know?
Did you know that in 2023, Laufen successfully introduced the world’s first electric tunnel kiln for the production of sanitary ceramics at its factory in Gmunden, Austria? Motivated by the desire to reduce the carbon footprint of ceramic production, which is known for its high energy consumption and emissions, the company has taken a decisive step toward electrifying its production process.

This year, Open House Tallinn focuses on inclusion and accessibility. How do You contribute to inclusion and accessibility?
Over the years, Laufen has supported design and architecture events that engage diverse communities on an international level. We have also joined the UN Global Compact initiative to ensure our activities meet higher social and environmental standards and to promote these standards within our sphere of influence. In collaboration with the Estonian Centre for Architecture, Laufen also contributes to the organization of Open House Tallinn, offering people the opportunity to visit and learn about buildings and explore the fascinating world of architecture.
